Section 10: I chair the House Tourism, Economic and Recreational Development Committee which spent 3 days in the Poconos in August 2023. Our hosts provided transportation to all of the resort areas that we visited, subsidized lodging so that we were able to stay at one of the resorts, and hospitality as we traveled around the region. This gave members of the committee a true Pocono Mountains Resort experience as we learned how they have been able to make this area a true four seasons resort area. The Pocono Mountains resort area is a treasure for Pennsylvania offering both family and adult experiences and are a vital part of Pennsylvania's tourism and recreational activities as part of the Pennsylvania economy.
